Reminders for the Week
It was a week of celebration. We celebrated our Lunch Hour Supervisors and our Social Worker and all that they do for our community at Christ the King and we had a March Spirit Week where each day we did something fun to wash away the winter blues. From the feedback that I received, Comfy/Pyjama day seemed to be the biggest hit with Bobcat students.
The students really enjoyed Q Mack and his presentation about FNMI. He was really engaging for students and overall a fun time.
This is the final week of school before March Break. We wish all our Bobcat families a relaxing vacation.
March Break Begins
March Break is a WCDSB holiday from March 13 – March 17 and there is no school for students. Please note that Christ the King is not able to offer extended day during this week, but parents can contact the WCDSB for information about other sites that are offering Extended Day. Enjoy the well deserved break, Bobcats!
Social Worker Appreciation Week! The Staff and students at Christ the King would like to take the opportunity today, to say a huge THANK YOU to all our Social Workers and a special THANK YOU to Ms. Grosz! Ms. Grosz, your contributions to our school community are often overlooked and understated, but we want to let you know today, and this week especially, that your role on our team is valued! Your commitment to our students when they are at their most vulnerable and your willingness to support the many adults in our buildings, demonstrate that you are here for us! Knowing that someone like each of you are there to support us is reassuring and comforting. Your role is vital to the success of our system, and we wanted to make sure that today especially, you know how thankful we are for YOU, Ms. Grosz!

On-Going Fundraising Program We’re very excited to announce that we’ve chosen to be a part of the Plantables Fundraising Program for 2023. With the weather warming up and many of you thinking about rolling up your sleeves and getting back into the garden, it’s a great time to help us spread the word of this great fundraiser.
What Is Plantables?
Plantables is an exciting family-owned company based in Forest, Ontario that grow healthy, hardy and happy fruit and vegetable plants. The best part is, they ship them DIRECTLY to your door, when you want them!
That means that no matter how busy you are, how unsuccessful (successful!) you’ve been at growing plants before, you’ll be able to grow brag-worthy fruits and veggies!
All you have to do is pick what plants you want to grow, choose when you want them delivered and wait for your box of garden-ready plants to arrive on your doorstep. Shipping weeks are available from April- June and you can order any time before that.
How does the program work?
All you have to do is help spread the plant love! Tell everybody you know to go to plantables.ca and make sure they enter the code CTK at the checkout or follow our direct link plantables.ca/for/ctk
We’re really excited to be launching a fundraiser that involves growing healthy fruits and veggies and spending time as a family! There is a minimum order requirement of 6 seedlings as they ship in multiples of 6 – if you are still interested in taking part but have an order smaller than 6 plants or if you require more information, please contact CTKPlants@gmail.com.
Thank you for all of your support, we can’t wait to see what you grow!
