COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH LINKS FOR FAMILIES: As Omicron numbers climb and schools return to virtual learning, you may be looking for information that can be shared with students and their families to ensure they know how to promote wellbeing and where to reach out if they need support. Please see the attached memo for Community Mental Health Support services for Students and their Families. Community Mental Health Links.pdf
Students in our Board, Grades 4 to 12 will have the opportunity to participate in a Ministry created School Climate Survey (Feb. 22 to March 11). The Waterloo Catholic District School Board is committed to providing safe, caring and inclusive places for everyone in our schools. One way that we can find out how we are doing is to ask students about their health and well-being. To collect this information, we will administer the Middle Years Development Instrument (MDI). This anonymous, online survey has been developed by researchers at the Human Early Learning Partnership (HELP) at the University of British Columbia (UBC), and the administration of the MDI will be facilitated by the WCDSB Research Department. Please see Parent/Guardian Letter here: Grades-4-to-8-School-Climate-Survey
Detailed information about the School Climate Survey is also found on our Board Website: https://www.wcdsb.ca/school-climate-survey/
