Love and friendship were certainly celebrated on Friday!  Thank you to all who helped support our Candy Grams.  As a school, we raised $339.00 which will go directly to help sponsor an athlete for the Special Olympics Spring Games that will be happening in May in Waterloo.  THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Labour UpdatesJust a reminder that this Friday, February 21st, OECTA has announced that they will engage in a one day strike.  All schools will be closed.  The Extended Day Program will remain open.

Shrove Tuesday is coming soon.  On Tuesday February 25th, we will once again be serving pancakes and syrup to mark the last day before Lent begins.  In order to reduce waste and plastic, students will need to bring in a reusable plate or container and a fork!  Paper plates will not be available.  Students are encouraged to bring in a ziplock bag so that they can bring their plate and fork back home.   Thanks for your help and for helping CTK be an ECO school!

Please join us on Wednesday, February 26th for our Ash Wednesday liturgy at 1:30 pm in our gym.  All are welcome!

Pink Shirt Day:  From its humble beginnings in 2007 in small-town Nova Scotia, Pink Shirt Day has spread across the globe as a way to take a stand against bullying and to show support for those who have been affected by it in schools, workplaces, homes, and online.  Last year alone, people in almost 180 countries shared their support of Pink Shirt Day through social media posts and donations.  On February 26, 2020, we encourage everyone at the Waterloo Catholic District School Board to practice kindness and wear pink to school or work to symbolize that you do not tolerate bullying. The focus for 2020 is “lift each other up.”
