We hope everyone had a relaxing and safe March Break and are ready to ‘spring’ back to school!  The staff at Christ the King are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow at 8:30 am!

Here is what is happening at CTK this week:

Environment Presentations: Mrs. Fischer, Mrs. Van Os, and Ms. Fernandes’ class will be participating in an environmental presentation on Monday, March 19th in the afternoon.  We look forward to continue to raise our awareness and knowledge of how we can protect our precious earth!

Comic Art Tour:  This year, Riley M., Callum R., and Jayden P. have started the Crazy Comic Club.  The Club is totally organized and led by these students and runs every Tuesday at lunch and is well attended by our students at CTK.  This Tuesday, we have arranged for a Freeze Kids Comic Book Art Workshop.  This workshop will be conducted by a professional comic book artist who have published several children’s drawing books and graphic novels.  The workshop will be FREE for students in Grades 2 to 5 and will give them the opportunity to explore their artistic abilities.  All participants will have the opportunity to draw along with the artist and keep the drawings they have created.

Bobcat Spirit Day:  Don’t forget to show your spirit by wearing your Bobcat spirit wear or blue and yellow!

World Down Syndrome Day is Thursday March 22nd:  This Thursday, all students and staff throughout the Waterloo Catholic District School Board are encouraged to wear their funky socks to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day!  Worldwide, individuals and groups wear colourful, fun, or mix-matched socks to celebrate our differences and raise awareness about Down Syndrome
